I am using my own personalised Sleeveless Torso Block for drafting this pattern. The Sleeveless Torso (compared to the standard Torso for garments with sleeves) is reduced in width with the armhole raised a little, and the back shoulder dart has been removed.
The blocks at the top of the image is my personalised Sleeveless Torso that I will be using in the step-by-step instructions; as I made the pattern with my block. A standard block (made for size 16 measurements) is also shown in the image. You can see they look significantly different; you may be able to tell that my block indicates squarer shoulders, a larger bust cup, and proportionally bigger hips than the standard block. (Clicking on the image will open up a larger file for better viewing).
For instructions on how to create personalised blocks to fit your individual figures, see the relevant pages under the Making Block Menu - Making the Bodice Block Set and Making the Skirt Block Set. You can also make a derivative Torso Block from these blocks; see the Making the Torso Block pages. You will then need to make adjustments to make it a Sleeveless Torso Block.
Third Scale Blocks are available for download, so you can follow along and practice patternmaking theory without making the pattern full-size. Click on the link provided to be taken to the Third Scale Blocks page. Before trying to make these patterns, even third scale, you should have a good understanding of the theory in the Principles Pages on this website.
